PhD Students
The Tartu Affect Regulation Unit (TARU) is accepting PhD students through the Institute of Psychology at the University of Tartu. The current deadline to be admitted in Fall 2026 is May 15, 2026 for international candidates or June 15, 2026 for Estonian candidates. More information about the application process can be found here.
As part of the application process, you will be asked to provide a proposal (2-3 pgs) outlining your doctoral thesis project. We are happy to provide guidance on the development of the proposal to ensure that your interests are well-aligned with either myself and/or Prof. Andero Uusberg as a possible supervisor and that you meet the criteria for the program. More information about the proposal can be found here.
Master's and Bachelor's Students
I am often looking for motivated thesis students interested in topics related to emotion regulation, self-regulation, and/or behaviour change. Students may inquire about thesis supervision at various points throughout the academic year. Please note: All theses will be written in English. If interested in having me as your thesis supervisor, please send a brief statement of interest at kaitlynw[at]ut.ee
